En la madrugada del 26 de abril de 1986, el reactor número 4 de la planta nuclear en Chernobyl, explotó liberando a la atmósfera varios cientos de veces más radiación que las bombas de Hiroshima y Nagasaki, causando el accidente nuclear más grande de la historia del planeta. El incidente envenenó cientos de miles de hectáreas en Ucrania, Bielorrusia y Rusia, obligando a más de cuatrocientas mil personas a abandonar de forma apresurada sus hogares.
Hoy en día, tres décadas después del obligado exilio de “La Zona”, el frio silencio, la vegetación y los animales salvajes se han vuelto los únicos dueños del desolado y yermo paraje.
Solamente un reducido grupo de personas, los Samosely, continúan viviendo anónimas y olvidadas por el resto del mundo, en este limbo post-apocalíptico anclado en el tiempo…

In the early hours of April 26, 1986, reactor number 4 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded, releasing several hundred times more radiation into the atmosphere than the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs, causing the largest nuclear accident in the history of the planet. The incident poisoned hundreds of thousands of hectares in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, forcing more than 400,000 people to hastily leave their homes.
Today, three decades after their forced exile from "The Zone", the cold silence, vegetation and wild animals have become the only owners of the desolated and barren landscape.
Only a small group of people, the Samosely, are still living anonymously and forgotten by the rest of the world, in this post-apocalyptic limbo anchored in time...
