Plot: Sunder Singh (Sujit Kumar) is to get married to his mother's (Nirpua Roy) childhood friend's daughter Sheila (Mala Singh). Before their wedding, Sunder dies when his ship wrecks on a stormy night. Inspector Shankar (Biswajeet), is assigned to solve the mystery of the murder. Sheila's father loses his life in a heart-attack when he comes across the truth that Sunder is dead. Sunder's mother gives shelter to Sheila and also loses her mental stability. She speaks to the photograph of Sunder, serves food for him and also prepares for his wedding. Meanwhile, Shankar and Sheila fall in love. Will Shankar be able to solve the mystery of Sunder's death?
